Northern Ireland’s largest independent broker, Willis IRM is the only local business to offer insurance, HR, employment services, claims handling and wealth management all under one roof.
The family-owned firm, which is this year celebrating 40 years in business, works with some of Northern Ireland’s best-known companies from SMEs to large corporates and has a clientele that includes a diverse range of manufacturers.
The company has built up a deep and expert knowledge of the manufacturing industry over many years, making it the natural ‘go-to’ for businesses in the sector.
Willis IRM Managing Director Richard Willis said: “We are delighted to link with Manufacturing NI as the organisation’s official insurance and risk management partner.
“Manufacturing is one of the most important sectors locally, providing the backbone to the economy and boosting future growth.
“As with any other business however, risks are unavoidable, but they can be mitigated. Employees in the sector are also among those most likely to be absent from work due, in part, to the manual nature of the job.
“We have many years’ experience working with companies in the industry helping them to identify risks in the workplace, insure against them and establish robust health and safety systems, thereby improving staff well-being as well as the business’ bottom line.”
As part of the partnership, Manufacturing NI members will receive a free risk review or an initial health and safety or HR consultation with members of Willis IRM’s team of experts.
“Working alongside clients, we aim to provide a bespoke service that isn’t just about bureaucracy and the accumulation of risk and health and safety documentation. Just like the firms we work with, we want to focus on real-life issues and help make the workplace a happier and safer place for all.”
Willis IRM, headquartered at Donegall Street, Belfast, employs more than 100 at offices in Belfast and England.
The firm was originally set up in Bangor in 1978 by Robert Willis, its current Executive Chairman and is now run by Managing Director Richard Willis and his three brothers as shareholders and directors.
